I'm not a big fan of Bible "story books," but I have seen a few good ones; and this one held great promise. The book is also known as Harbut's Story of the Bible Told for young and old. I highly recommend it. But it is much more than I had expected for the price. Through the gospel, our good and all-powerful God keeps his word and fulfills his promises to us better than we could have ever thought or imagined!

This book is for an unexpected new grand child. Post this to us! After some contemplation, the thought struck me that this project was one I could do. Select a valid country. The exception to this is in the gospels.

Date of issue: 7 November Description of the book "Illustrated Children's Stories from the Old Testament": In this title, all the classic bible stories retold with more than beautiful illustrations, maps and photographs. Image Gallery. And, as they gain understanding, they will love and appreciate the Old Testament more than ever before, just as I have. Great for children By C. Harbut's Bible Stories contain the famous and great stories in their connected order forming a continuous history of the Bible and its greatest stories which are suitable for adults and teens, young children and kids, Catholic or Protestant, part of a series of Bible Stories from the Old Testament.

Sixty-three favorite stories are retold here in simple, traditional language that can be easily understood by children of all ages. From the creation of the world, the stories unfold in sequence to provide a vivid depiction of the people, places and events of the Bible.

What Is the Product for? They explain how the crime committed by Cain could lead commentators to believe that Eve's first child might not have been Adam's son but an offspring of the serpent, a wicked angel, or the Devil himself.

The proceedings are contained in this book, the fifth volume in the series Themes in Biblical Narrative. Insights, inspiration, and understandings came from many directions. By Rufusandlola on Dec 21, I read this while growing up with my parents and younger brother in the 80sand I was utterly mesmerized by the illustrations and retelling of Bible stories.

Publisher's Description How do you explain the gospel to toddlers and preschoolers? Gospel-centered Bible stories expressed in ways that speak to toddlers and preschoolers. This item will be shipped through the Global Shipping Program and includes international tracking.

The simple words of these great Biblical stories may also be used for preschool kids. The immortal stories and songs of the Old and New Testaments are his richest inheritance from the past.

Hopefully, it will do the same for my kids. Retold by Victoria Parker Unfortunately, at this time we really do not possess any information regarding your musician Retold by Victoria Parker.

By Nana on Mar 28, This is perfect for my 5 year old grand son and it gives more information following the bible than other bible stories for children. A new printing, a big drop in quality By William Telll on Aug 11, The content was just fine, the problem was that the print job was not up to the quality of the earlier edition we had used for our children.

Not overly simplified in the form of a love note, but rather as an epic story of perfection, sin, redemption, and restoration. For one thing, the fact that the writings of the various authors are not arranged chronologically made it difficult to see how everything fits together.

It will give you a fresh perspective and a desire to go and read the original source again. The stories are written with a gospel crispness and illustrated with vivid colors and pictures that are sure to teach little minds about the beauty of God and his Kingdom.

There were also profuse details about things that I found to be either of little interest or of no importance to me—parts that seem totally irrelevant and unrelated to our modern lives.

Each story is short enough to be read aloud in a single sitting and is printed in large, clear type so young readers can enjoy it on their own. It is characterized by both faithfulness to the intent of the inspired biblical authors and attention to the unifying themes of Scripture that find their ultimate fulfillment in Christ.

Maybe courser paper, maybe poorer printing quality, but the pictures and print were not sharp and clear, but a tad fuzzy.Sometimes, an author will write a story that is consciously based on an older story (typically in the public domain) but with a modernized setting and hildebrandsguld.commes the original work is still copyrighted, but the writer includes the minimum quota of differences to avoid being a direct plagiarism while using an immediately recognizable story template.

Bring the Bible to life for very young children with these captivating classic stories retold in rhyme. Accompanied by charming and joyful illustrations, this book is perfect for reading aloud to younger children while older children will enjoy reading the stories to themselves, from the wonderful and well-loved tales of the Old Testament, to the life of Jesus and the spreading of the Good News.5/5(1).
